Wattenbarger Architects received a 'New Project Award Commercial/Other over 40,000 SF' for our Plaza at Moanalua project. The Plaza at Moanalua Is an Assisted Living / Memory Care project in the Redhill area of Oahu, HI.

"The Development team reinvented the assisted living care model in Hawaii and created a unique design platform that produced a rental assisted living and memory care community that is beautiful, yet affordable."

Wattenbarger Architects received an Silver Award & Innovation Award at this years National Association of Home Builders 'Best of 50+ Housing Awards Program' for our Merrill Gardens at Lafayette project. Merrill Gardens at Lafayette Is an mixed use Assisted Living / Memory Care project with a retail componant on Mt Diablo Blvd. In Lafayette California. The jurors made special note of the extensive landscaping, exterior site amenities, and interior/exterior transitions included in this densely urban project.

The City of Redmond has awarded an Honor Design Award for Fairwinds Redmond. The city launched it's design award program in 1999 to recognize and honor those projects which best represent the design values of the community.

Wattenbarger Architects received four seperate awards at this years NAHB 'Best of 50+ Housing Awards Program'. The Bellettini received a 'Gold Achievement Award for Congregate/Independent Living Community Best Overall'. Stoneridge received a 'Silver Acheivement Award for CCRC "On the Boards" Up to 200 Units'. Reunion at Redmond Ridge received two awards. Reunion received a silver for 'Best Multifamily Rental 50+ Community (Affordable)' and a silver for 'Best Active Adult Community (up to 500 homes)'.

The NAHB 50+ Housing Council announced the winners for the 2008 Best of 50+ Housing Awards competition during the 2008 Building for Boomers & Beyond: 50+ Housing Symposium in New Orleans in May.
This annual award highlights the latest trends in design and marketing for the 50+ housing industry. This year's winners illustrate the evolution of the 50+ market, addressing the need for tailored services, unique amenities and innovative architecture, all while promoting better living.
Wattenbarger Architects won Silver in the Congregate/Independent Living Community category for their design of Fairwinds - Redmond (WA), a Leisure Care Community. Fairwinds - Redmond is an amenities- and activities-rich independent and assisted living community.
