who. what. how.

mission
Improving the quality of life for seniors through design.

history
Wattenbarger Architects' exclusive focus is seniors housing.

Founded in 1987, we focus exclusively on living environments for older adults, with experience designing for the entire continuum of care.

Within those 20 years, we have designed over 16,000 units of senior housing, from independent to assisted, Alzheimer's care and skilled, including CCRC's.

We've designed projects in 19 states - from Florida to New York, in the Midwest to the Southwest and, of course, the West Coast and Hawaii.

clients
Working for not-for-profit, faith-based providers of housing as well as for-profit developers and operators of seniors housing, our design solutions respond to a broad variety of architectural styles, geographic requirements, and operational and management approaches.

The only thing that is common between all our designs: putting clients' needs at the center of our solutions.

approach
We have developed an effective, proven Project Collaboration approach that brings all stakeholders together from the beginning of the project, ensuring team unity, clear communication, a cost-effective, well-managed project, and interdisciplinary coordination.

Putting the client's mission & vision first, we integrate design disciplines in logical, unified way so as to strengthen the integrity of the project and deliver results that improves the quality of life for seniors through design.
